Chemical Product Information Business Package for SAP XI

Based on the CIDX Chem eStandards, the Rex Chemicals Product Information SAP XI business package (CPI) implements scenarios for the exchange of Certificate Of Analysis (COA) and third party Quality Testing Reports (QTR). XML documents conforming to CIDX ChemXML standards are transmitted between business partners. The parties may also act in both roles in some of the scenarios. Seven document exchange scenarios are described by the business package.

Rex is an active member of the Chemical Industry Data Exchange (CIDX), an association of chemical companies and their supply chain partners promoting a uniform standard of data exchange.

Several scenarios are described by the CPI business package. Included among them is:

• Seller sends COA to buyer
• Buyer receives COA
• Third party testing laboratory sends quality report to seller or buyer
• Buyer receives third party quality testing report

The CPI business package is offered alongside the existing well known Rex configuration services.
