Rex Achieves New Certifications from SAP

Rex is pleased to announce that it has achieved certification from SAP AG in two of its strategic initiatives; Interoperability based on Industry Standards and its Business Package for SAP NetWeaver Portal. As a known expert in chemical industry systems integration processes, the new certified packages from Rex deliver benefits to customers by further enabling electronic business and supporting the development of new eBusiness connections.

Rex has developed 2 offerings which are available via SAP's Services Marketplace:-

1. Rex Chemicals Product Information business package - A SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI) content package for the handling of electronic Chemicals Product Information between trading partners. Based on the CIDX® Chem eStandards, the Rex Chemicals Product Information (CPI) SAP XI business package implements scenarios for the exchange of Certificate Of Analysis (COA) and Quality Testing Reports (QTR). XML documents conforming to CIDX® ChemXML standards are transmitted between business partners. The scenarios include parties acting as both recipients and senders of these documents with the parties also able to act in both roles. Seven document exchanges are described by the business package.

2. Rex CPI XI Configuration Testing business package for SAP NetWeaver Portal delivers easier testing of B2B connections based on the CIDX Chem eStandards in a SAP XI environment.

Rex was the first partner to commit to SAP's Industry Standards Certification initiative. As an independent systems integrator and consultant in the Oil and Chemicals industry, Rex participates in and contributes to a number of industry initiatives promoting the adoption of standards. Companies in the chemical and other industries have achieved economic benefits from the adoption of standards such as CIDX® Chem eStandards.
